PCNV... a Continuing Tradition

The roots of Pastoral Counseling of Northern Virginia reach back to the 1960's. Our experienced pastoral counselors have been active in the ministry of pastoral counseling in the community for years. Along with our host congregations, our counselors have helped literally thousands of persons whose lives were hurting, broken and in pain.

Relationships falter, careers don't always satisfy, families despair over a multitude of problems, people search for meaning, often alone. There are troublesome behaviors, feelings of confusion, anxiety, depression and failure. There are difficult and broken marriages, families coping with alcohol and substance abuse, teen depression, persons searching for direction and purpose, children having difficulty with peers, parents, or school. There are persons who are grieving, and senior citizens feeling neglected and isolated.

Throughout the years these persons have experienced their pastoral counselor to be a compassionate, professional and caring presence to work though the difficult times. People have been restored to hope, wholeness and new life. They have found purpose, meaning and direction for their lives.

That tradition continues today. Pastoral Counseling of Northern Virginia is a non-profit pastoral counseling ministry that seeks to extend the pastoral care and counseling of the congregation into the community. We at Pastoral Counseling of Northern Virginia are grateful to be a part of the continuing tradition of pastoral counseling in the Greater Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. We invite you to utilize our web site and begin your journey into healing.
